The AI game maker that gives you a playable first version

Describe your game in ordinary language. Avori proposes a small first-playable design, you review it, then you play the result inside Avori. No engine install needed, and you can move it into Unity, Godot, or Unreal when it is ready to grow.

How making a game with Avori works

Avori builds a bounded first playable on your computer. You see what it plans to make before anything is built, and you check the result by playing it.

Describe the game in ordinary language

On the empty Avori home screen, choose Build inside Avori and say what you want: the setting, the hero, the objective, and how it should play. Start small, with one level and one clear goal. Avori asks a clarifying question when it needs one.

Your request

Make me a polished 2D platform game set in a damaged space station. The hero is a humanoid fox with a blaster. Give me a clear objective, enemies to fight, movement and jumping, and let me play the first version here before changing anything else.

Review the first version before it builds

Avori states the requested game, the controls, and the expected result before work starts. Approve it, reject it, or keep chatting until the plan matches what you meant.

Proposed first version
Game
2D platformer in a damaged space station
Controls
Move, jump, and fire the blaster
Objective
Defeat the turret and reach the airlock

Play it and run behavior checks

The first version runs locally in the Playable preview. Play it, then run behavior checks, which report a pass or name a specific problem. A picture of the scene is not enough; the objective has to work.

Playable preview · Run behavior checks
  • Hero moves and jumps
  • Turret can be defeated
  • Airlock objective is reachable

Illustrations use the example prompt from the build-without-an-engine tutorial. Panels in the app vary by request.

A first playable, not a finished commercial game

AI game makers range from one-tap mobile toys to full engines. Avori sits in between: it makes a small game you can play and verify, then hands it to a real engine when you want to keep building.

What Avori does

  • Builds a bounded first playable in a local Avori project workspace
  • Shows the game, controls, and expected result for review before it builds
  • Runs the playable locally in the Playable preview, with behavior checks
  • Offers rollback or recovery after an approved change
  • Creates a self-contained web build you can upload yourself
  • Moves a verified playable into Unity, Godot, or Unreal when you approve the changes

What it does not do

  • Promise a finished commercial game from one prompt
  • Download or bundle Unity, Godot, or Unreal
  • Deploy your web build to a public hosting account
  • Prove more than its checks measure; you still play and review the result

When the first version works, keep going

The playable is a starting point. Take it to players, into the engine you prefer, or keep shaping it with a living design document.

Share it as a web build

Once checks pass, select Build for web in the Playable preview. Avori saves a self-contained build that you open, replay, and upload wherever you host games.

Move it into a real engine

Choose an installed engine and select Put in Unity, Godot, or Unreal. Avori shows the exact changes and target project, then verifies that the goal still works in the engine.

Keep the design in one place

Attach a game design document so Avori can use your mechanics, lore, and tuning when the game grows. Avori proposes GDD updates for review and never silently rewrites the design.

AI game maker questions

What to expect before you build your first playable with Avori.

An AI game maker turns a plain-language description into a playable game. In Avori, you describe the game, review a small first-playable design, and play the result in the Playable preview before deciding what to change next.

No. Avori creates a bounded first playable, not a finished commercial game. Start with one level and one clear objective, then extend it in Avori or move it into Unity, Godot, or Unreal.

Not to build inside Avori. Avori creates a local Avori project workspace and its playable files, and it does not download any engine. You only need an installed engine when you choose to put the playable into Unity, Godot, or Unreal.

Avori Core is $0/mo and starts with 60 one-time trial credits. After that, you continue with prepaid Avori Balance for supported Avori-hosted models, or use Personal BYOK on Pro, where your provider bills that usage directly.

Yes. After the playable passes its checks, Build for web creates a self-contained local web build. Avori does not currently deploy it to a public hosting account, so you upload it wherever you host games.

Yes. Choose Put in Unity, Godot, or Unreal on a verified playable. Avori shows the exact changes and target project for approval, then checks that the game still completes its objective in the engine.

No. Your source code, design docs, prompts, and project context are not used for model training. Core project context stays local; the model provider you selected receives the request context it needs.
