Changelog

Every release makes Avori understand your game better and get out of your way faster. Here's the full history, from September 2025 to today.

Older entries describe the product as it worked in those releases. Prior quota bundles, add-on packs, and older plan names have been retired and are not current pricing or billing options. See current pricing for today's Core trial credits, Pro, Studio, and Avori Balance model-funding options.

Release history

v1.1.50 October 2026

Reliable First Launch

  • Avori opens on the first launch after installing: the first start after an install can take longer while Windows checks the new files. Avori now waits for that instead of stopping before its window opens.
v1.1.49 October 2026

AI Team for Everyone

  • AI Team for every account: AI Team is now included for everyone, with no Pro badge and no time limit. Type @team or @ a teammate by name, and the work uses your trial credits first, then your Avori Balance, like any other Avori work. Pro adds AI Team runs in the cloud while your computer is off, browser Avori, remote control, and your own AI provider key.
v1.1.48 October 2026

Trial Credits, Avori Balance & Clearer Model Funding

  • Add Avori Balance in a few clicks: Top up prepaid Avori Balance from the dashboard or straight from the Avori panel with preset amounts, see exactly what Balance pays for, and get back to your task as soon as the payment is credited. Nothing is ever charged automatically unless you turn on auto-reload.
  • Trial credits: New Core accounts start with 60 one-time trial credits. A simple request may use one credit, while images and multi-step work may use more. Credits pay for the AI work Avori actually runs.
  • Clearer funding guidance: Avori now tells you ahead of time when trial credits are running low, so your work is never interrupted by surprise. Your chats, prompts, and projects are always kept.
  • Your own AI provider key with Pro: Avori Pro includes browser Avori, cloud continuity, and the option to use your own AI provider key, where your provider bills model usage directly.
v1.1.47 October 2026

Avori in Your Browser

  • Browser Avori: Avori Pro now works from any browser at avorihq.com/app. Open your projects, start tasks, review and approve proposed changes, and cancel or resume work, with your task history kept between visits.
  • GitHub repository tasks: Connect a GitHub repository and let Avori work on it in the cloud. Results land on a separate avori/ branch for you to review, never on your default branch.
  • Continue on your desktop: When your computer is online, browser Avori offers to open the task in desktop Avori. The handoff matches your local checkout and refuses to overwrite work you have not saved or committed.
  • Faster browser start: Browser Avori loads your account, projects, and connected desktops at the same time, so the workspace is ready sooner.
v1.1.46 October 2026

Steadier Engine Work Across Unity, Godot & Unreal

  • One task status everywhere: The Avori panel, your engine, and your IDE now share a single view of each task, so progress, approvals, and results stay in step wherever you look.
  • Godot reload recovery: In Godot, Avori waits for plugin reloads to finish before continuing, and picks up a batch of changes that was cut short instead of losing it.
  • Unreal Sequencer reliability: Timeline previews, new sequences, and sequence edits in Unreal are more dependable, and Loop checkpoints now cover the sequence asset so it can be rolled back.
  • Stop means stop: Stopping a Loop is now final, even if the editor reconnects or Avori restarts, and work left on an editor that closed unexpectedly is settled cleanly.
  • Smoother plugin updates: Plugin updates retry automatically when Windows briefly locks a file, instead of failing.
v1.1.43 October 2026

Rules From Chat & Better-Looking Generated Games

  • Avori remembers what you tell it: State a rule in chat, such as a naming convention or a design decision, and Avori keeps it as a project rule, an all-games rule, or a game design note. Your game design document stays the final word.
  • Delete projects and chats: Remove a project or a conversation from Avori right in the panel. Deleting a project from Avori never touches your game files.
  • Clearer hits and grounded characters: Games Avori generates now show contact shadows under characters and visible hit feedback in the web preview, Unity, Godot, and Unreal, and Unreal levels are reliably winnable.
  • Your art, your call: Avori's quality checks never block you over art you made yourself. Anything it notices is listed as an open item instead.
v1.1.41 October 2026

Plain-Language Loop Control & IDE Reliability

  • Control Loops by just saying so: While a Local Loop is running, type "pause", "resume", "stop", or "undo the last change" in chat and Avori acts on it. Questions and negated phrases are never mistaken for commands.
  • No lost IDE results: The VS Code, Visual Studio, and Rider extensions keep results queued if Avori is briefly unavailable and deliver them once it is back.
  • Unreal version check: Avori checks your Unreal Engine version against the versions it supports before installing its plugin, so mismatches are caught up front.
  • Unity package setup: The Unity plugin now resolves the Unity packages it needs through Unity's own package manager, matched to your editor version.
  • Startup and model fixes: Fixed a desktop startup problem on some Windows machines, and restored compatibility with the latest models.
v1.1.37 September 2026

Engine-Native Checkpoints & Verified Changes

  • Engine-native checkpoints: Before changing your project, Avori saves a checkpoint using each engine's own mechanisms in Unity, Godot, and Unreal, so a change can be verified and rolled back cleanly.
  • Verified changes: After an approved change, Avori reads the result back from the engine and confirms it matches what was approved before reporting success.
  • Speaks your engine's language: Avori uses the right terms for the engine you are in, such as GameObjects in Unity, Nodes in Godot, and Actors in Unreal.
  • Support follow-up: Problem reports now get a reference ID, and you receive an email when the issue you reported has been resolved.
v1.1.33 September 2026

Dependable Design Docs & Desktop Polish

  • Design docs with your chosen model: Game design document generation now works with whichever model you selected, and an interrupted generation resumes instead of starting over.
  • Start with Windows: A Startup setting lets Avori launch automatically when you sign in to Windows, applied to your own Windows account.
  • Clearer funding indicator: The top bar shows exactly which funding source will pay for the model you have selected.
  • Reliable restarts after updates: Avori restarts cleanly after installing an update, and update notices are easier to act on.
v1.1.22 August 2026

Recovering Interrupted Work & Sturdier Game Plans

  • Recover interrupted work: When an engine action fails or is interrupted, Avori works out whether it can safely re-apply the step you already approved. If it cannot, it stops and tells you the next step instead of guessing.
  • Checked game plans: Avori checks each generated game plan for missing pieces and unsafe layouts and repairs them before any usage is counted, so an unusable plan never costs you.
  • Onboarding fixes: Smoother first-run setup and a fix for a blank panel that could appear on startup.
v1.1.14 August 2026

Live Steering, Image Generation & a Guided Start

  • Change direction while Avori works: Type your next instruction while Avori is still working. It waits in a queue, where you can choose Steer to redirect the current answer or Remove to drop it, and Stop never loses an unsent draft.
  • Image generation: Generate and revise game images from the panel with a dedicated image model. Avori keeps a record of where each image came from. If your Avori Balance runs out, Avori pauses, keeps the work, and continues after you add Avori Balance.
  • Choose how to begin: New users pick a starting path: connect an existing Unity, Godot, or Unreal project, start a new one, or build without an engine.
  • Error reporting you control: Avori lists exactly what an automatic serious-error report may contain and what it never includes, and you can turn reporting off in Settings at any time.
v1.1.12 July 2026

From Game Idea to First Playable

  • Idea to game plan: Describe a game in plain words and Avori drafts a game design document and a game plan for you to review before anything is built.
  • First playables inside Avori: Build a first playable 2D or 3D prototype right in the panel, run behavior checks, ask for an AI visual review, and approve a suggested repair that is replayed to confirm it worked.
  • Start a Unity, Godot, or Unreal project: Avori detects the engines you have installed and, with your approval, creates a new project or moves an Avori playable into one.
  • Web builds: Build an Avori playable for the web so you can share it.
  • Pick up where you left off: Reopen a project and a Welcome back card summarizes what was verified, what is unfinished, and a suggested next step.
v1.1.10 July 2026

Studio Workspaces & Shared Funding

  • Studio workspaces: Create a Studio workspace, invite your team, and assign owner, admin, or member roles that decide who can manage seats, funding, and settings.
  • Shared Avori Balance: Prepay model usage for the whole Studio with one organization Avori Balance, so members follow your policies without a separate balance each.
  • Organization provider keys: Add your studio's own model provider keys once. Avori validates each key before saving it, keys stay on Avori's servers, and members use them without ever seeing them.
v1.1.4 July 2026

Cloud Loops & Encrypted Sync

  • Cloud Loops: With Avori Pro, a Loop can continue in an isolated cloud workspace after you close your laptop. Watch progress, stop, or recover a Cloud Loop from your dashboard.
  • Encrypted Cloud Sync: Avori Pro can protect a project's Avori history with encryption that happens on your device before upload, backed by a recovery code only you hold. Add a trusted second device whenever you need it.
  • Keep going when funding runs out: If model funding runs out mid-task, the panel shows clear ways to continue and your conversation and work are kept.
  • One window at a time: Fixed duplicate Avori windows opening on launch.
v1.1.1 July 2026

The New Avori Panel, Model Picker & Avori Balance

  • A new Avori panel: One redesigned chat panel across Unity, Godot, and Unreal, with saved conversation history, @mentions and slash commands, long pastes kept as tidy attachments, and a live timeline of what Avori is doing.
  • Deep engine actions in all three engines: Avori can now work with physics, input, audio, UI, lighting, particles, cameras, tilemaps, navigation, animation, materials, cutscenes, and build settings in Unity, Godot, and Unreal, always as reviewed changes.
  • Model picker: Choose your model right from the panel. Avori shows which models are available to you and how each request will be paid for.
  • Avori Balance: Pay for model usage from a prepaid Avori Balance at published prices, with usage shown against your balance.
  • Design drift review: Avori compares your project with your game design document and lets you review each difference before anything in the document changes.
  • Signed updates: Every Avori update is checked against a signed release manifest before it installs.
v1.1 May 2026

Scene Agent, Code Intelligence & Workspaces

  • Loops (formerly Plan Mode): Multi-step goals now live in the normal chat with a compact proposal, reviewed actions, visible progress, and pause, resume, and stop controls. Local Loops run on this computer; eligible Pro users can choose cloud continuation when the device is off.
  • Scene Agent — 30+ Actions: The Unity action library grew from a handful of primitives into a broad set of reviewed scene and asset actions. Avori can create and configure lights and cameras; build UI hierarchies; add physics, audio, and animation components by type; wire references; and set tags and layers. Review consequential work before it runs, use native Undo or Avori recovery where the action supports it, and keep normal source control for project-wide recovery.
  • Workspaces: Group multiple Unity projects (or any external folder) under a named workspace. When a workspace is active, Avori's context spans every project inside it — useful for shared utility packages, multi-repo studios, or keeping separate game projects connected under one set of rules.
  • Code Intelligence: Avori now scans your scripts in the background every 30 seconds and surfaces common Unity anti-patterns directly in the panel — GetComponent or Find() called in Update, frame-rate-dependent transforms without Time.deltaTime, Resources.Load(), and more. Issues appear without you having to ask, before they become bugs.
  • Project Rules: Write permanent instructions that Avori follows in every prompt — architecture constraints, naming conventions, patterns to enforce or avoid. Set once in the Rules panel; injected automatically into every response for the lifetime of the project.
v1.0 Early May 2026

GDD Inference, Living Game Design & Silent Hub

  • GDD Inference on First Open: No more setup forms or commands. When you open the plugin for the first time, Avori scans your project and tells you what it thinks you're building. Confirm or correct it, and that becomes your GDD seed — the whole process takes under a minute.
  • Living GDD: Avori now keeps its understanding of your game current as you build. When it detects that you've added new systems or changed direction, it surfaces a notification in the panel so you can update its context with one click.
  • Auto-Update Notifications: The Hub now shows a banner when a new version is available, with a direct Windows download link — no need to check back manually.
  • Silent Background Service: The Hub no longer opens a desktop window. It runs cleanly in the system tray and stays out of your way. All account and plan management lives at avorihq.com/dashboard.
  • Zero-Config Installer: The installer finds your Unity, Godot, and Unreal projects and sets Avori up in each one automatically — no folder picking, no manual steps.
v0.9 April 2026

Workspace Tools & Developer Experience Depth

  • Parallel Threads: Open multiple AI conversations side-by-side with a tab bar directly in the plugin. Run a refactor in one tab while exploring a new feature in another.
  • Pages Panel: Create and edit persistent documents inside the plugin — design notes, mechanic specs, quest outlines. Pages live with your project and are always one click away.
  • Page Version History: Every save is snapshotted. Browse the full history of any page and restore any version instantly.
  • Split View: Pin the pages panel alongside the chat window for a side-by-side workspace without leaving the engine.
  • Project Grep: Search across every source file in your project from the panel. Click any result to inject it directly as context into your next message.
  • Pinned Pages: Pin any page to a persistent bar at the top of the panel. One click injects its full content into your message — great for keeping your core design principles always on hand.
  • Vision Tool: Capture your active viewport and attach it to any message. Ask Avori about what it sees — broken lighting, a layout issue, a navmesh gap — without leaving the editor.
  • Fuzzy @ File Search: Type @ in the input field and an instant dropdown appears with fuzzy-matched files from your project. Select to inject. No file picker dialog.
  • Prompt Preservation: If you close or reload the editor mid-thought, your unfinished message is saved and restored exactly as you left it.
v0.8 April 2026

Multi-step Workflows, History & Visual Diffs

  • Multi-step workflow (originally named Plan Mode): Avori can plan multi-step changes, show the proposed actions before they are applied, and keep a visible record of progress. This capability now appears as Loops in the unified chat.
  • Play Mode Safety Lock: When your scene is running, Avori automatically enters read-only debug mode. It will never make changes to a live scene.
  • Thread History: Every conversation is saved per project. Switch between past threads at any time — full history, fully searchable.
  • Visual Diffs & Rollback: After a file write, a diff shows exactly what changed line by line, and Loop rollback restores the file to its state before Avori touched it.
  • Automatic Checkpoints: Before an approved Loop step runs, Avori checkpoints the files and scenes it will change and refuses the step if it cannot. If something goes wrong, rollback restores the checkpoint.
  • Image & Screenshot Attachment: Attach a screenshot or any image to your message. Works across Unity, Godot, and Unreal.
  • One-Click Auto-Fix: Compile errors and runtime exceptions are captured in the panel automatically. Hit Auto-Fix and Avori reads the error, opens the relevant file, and writes the correction.
  • @ Mention Files: Type @ in the input to attach any project file's full contents to your message as context.
  • Context Window Bar: A progress bar shows how much of the AI's active memory is in use — so you always know when it's time to start a fresh thread.
v0.7 March 2026

Scene Automation & IDE Autocomplete

  • Workflow Automation & Undo Shield: Stop manually clicking through the Inspector. You can now prompt Avori to create GameObjects, attach components, and configure physics. Scene edits use your engine's native Undo, and every approved step is checkpointed so Avori can roll it back.
  • IDE Integrations: We've stepped out of the game engine and into your code editor. Official Avori extensions for VS Code, Visual Studio, and JetBrains Rider open Avori beside your code, share project context and diagnostics, and open the files Avori changes.
  • GDD Sync & Project Indexing: Avori automatically indexes your script files, Game Design Documents (.md), and PDFs. When you ask it a question, it already knows your game's lore, core mechanics, and architecture.
  • One-Click "Insert into File": No more copy-pasting code blocks. When Avori writes a script, simply click "Insert into File" from the chat panel to instantly write the code to disk and trigger a hot-reload.
v0.6 February 2026

Studio Team Features (Legacy Beta, Retired)

Historical release note: This fixed five-person, shared-credit beta is no longer offered to new organizations.

  • The legacy beta allowed up to five team members to share one fixed request pool
  • Owner can invite members by email from Hub Settings → Team Members
  • Per-member request usage tracking with usage table in Hub
  • Team requests deducted from the shared beta pool; owner's personal subscription unaffected
  • Team auto-deactivated on Studio plan cancellation
v0.5 January 2026

IDE Extensions — VS Code, Visual Studio, JetBrains Rider

  • VS Code extension: open Avori from the Command Palette and share project context and diagnostics
  • Visual Studio 2022 integration: open Avori from the Tools menu and share project context and diagnostics
  • JetBrains Rider plugin: tool window panel, inline prompt action
  • Avori auto-installs all plugins on first launch — no marketplace download required
  • Engine plugins reconnect to Avori automatically, with no configuration
v0.4 December 2025

  • Native Windows installer
  • Auto-update checks on launch — prompts users before installing new Hub versions
  • Unity plugin bundled in installer; auto-imported on first project open
  • System tray icon with quick-access to Settings and Quit
  • Startup on login toggle in Settings
v0.3 November 2025

Historical Quota Enforcement

Historical release record. The old fixed-quota and add-on-pack model is retired; see current pricing for today's model-funding options.

  • Server-side credit quota enforcement on all AI requests
  • Historical monthly allowance behavior has been replaced by explicit model funding
  • Add-on request bundles are retired and no longer available for purchase
  • Low-balance warning email fired once when the historical allowance was nearly used
  • Current builds show contextual funding state instead of a shrinking per-response credit meter
v0.2 October 2025

GDD Indexing & Context Engine

  • Add PDF, DOCX, or plain-text GDD files via the Settings panel, or place them in your project folder for automatic detection
  • Indexed GDD content included automatically as system context on every prompt
  • Implementation mismatch detection — Avori flags code that contradicts GDD intent
  • Multi-GDD support moved into the current Core/Pro/Studio software entitlement model
  • GDD files and project memory stay local-first; content is not used for training
v0.1 September 2025
