Understand trial credits, Avori Balance, and your own AI provider key
Know who pays for each model request before you send it.
Use this guide with Avori
Open Avori, then keep this guide beside it while you follow the steps. Avori does not receive the page text, your account, your project, or anything you typed.
If nothing opens, start Avori normally. The written steps still work.
Before you start
- Avori is signed in.
Plan and model funding
Core starts with 60 one-time trial credits, with no card or renewal. Trial credits pay for AI work. A simple request may use one credit, while images and multi-step work may use more. Credits pay for the AI work Avori runs. After that, continue with prepaid Avori Balance for supported Avori-hosted models at the displayed versioned retail price. Pro lets you use your own AI provider key, and your provider bills that usage directly. Avori never switches from trial credits or a provider key to paid Avori Balance automatically.

Steps

Open Settings and review the Account and Keys sections.
What you should see: Avori shows the account state, available funding paths, and saved-key status without revealing raw keys.

Open the model picker.
What you should see: Each available model shows whether it uses a personal key, Avori funding, or either.

Check the top-right funding indicator before sending.
What you should see: The active funding source is visible.

Check which payer is selected: trial credits, Avori Balance, or your own provider key.
What you should see: If the selected payer runs out, Avori pauses and offers Add Avori Balance. It does not switch to another payer automatically.

Choose a different permitted payer, reduce the reviewed work, or add Avori Balance from the dashboard.
What you should see: Avori refreshes the same review and enables approval only after the selected payer can cover it.
What Avori may change
Choosing a funding source does not create a subscription or automatic charge. Wallet funding and subscriptions require separate confirmed checkout actions. A read-only maximum quote does not send work, reserve funds, or reduce trial credits.
How to verify it worked
Send once the model and payer are the ones you want. Then confirm the usage appears only in the selected provider or Avori account record.
Undo or recover
Cancel checkout before payment. Personal keys can be removed from Settings.
Common problems
- A saved personal key does not fund Avori-managed models.
- An Avori subscription and Avori Balance are separate; software access does not create model funds.
- If your trial credits or wallet cannot cover a reviewed worst case, Avori stops before dispatch. It never spends from another payer just to continue.
