Review differences between the project and its design
Let Avori compare recorded project work with the GDD, then approve only the updates that are still true.
Use this guide with Avori
Open Avori, then keep this guide beside it while you follow the steps. Avori does not receive the page text, your account, your project, or anything you typed.
If nothing opens, start Avori normally. The written steps still work.
Before you start
- The project has a saved GDD.
- Avori has current context for the selected project.
Plan and model funding
Asking Avori to draft wording uses the funding source shown in Avori. Checking, editing, removing, and applying visible updates use the controls shown in the GDD panel.
Say this in ordinary language
Check whether this project has changed since the GDD was written. Show me the differences, but do not update the GDD yet.
Steps
-
1
Open Game Design Document and choose Check for updates.
What you should see: Avori checks the selected project and either reports no updates or opens a review list.
-
2
Read every suggested addition, change, and removal.
What you should see: Each finding is editable and can be removed before anything is applied.
-
3
If the project changed after the check, choose Check again.
What you should see: Avori replaces the stale review instead of applying it to a different project state.
-
4
Choose Apply confirmed updates only after the remaining wording is correct.
What you should see: Avori applies only the visible approved items and confirms the GDD update.
What Avori may change
Only the approved GDD wording changes. The check does not silently alter project files.
How to verify it worked
Reopen the GDD and confirm the approved update appears while removed suggestions do not.
Undo or recover
Dismiss the review without applying it, remove individual findings, or edit the GDD back to the intended wording.
Common problems
- If Avori cannot check the project, confirm the correct project and Hub connection.
- Never apply a stale review after changing the project; choose Check again first.
