Work with your AI Team

Hand a job to your AI Team with @team, or to one teammate by name, then review their changes, follow progress, and undo anything you do not want.

Use this guide with Avori

Open Avori, then keep this guide beside it while you follow the steps. Avori does not receive the page text, your account, your project, or anything you typed.

Open Avori

If nothing opens, start Avori normally. The written steps still work.

Before you start

  • Avori is installed and signed in.
  • A project is open in Avori.
  • You have trial credits or Avori Balance for the team's work.

Plan and model funding

AI Team is included with every account. Work your teammates do uses your trial credits first, then your Avori Balance, like any other Avori work. Opening the team, editing teammates, and pausing or resuming do not by themselves start a model request. If your credits and Avori Balance run out, the team pauses and keeps its work saved. With Pro, your AI Team can also keep working in the cloud while your computer is off.

Steps

  1. 1
Open your project in Avori, then choose AI Team at the top of the Avori panel. The first time, you can also choose Meet your team on the New: AI Team card in chat.

What you should see: The AI Team panel opens with your project name. Avori, your Game Director, is listed first, followed by Nova (UI Developer), Rex (Systems Developer), Kai (Gameplay Developer), Iris (Artist), Juno (Audio Designer), and Quinn (QA), each with a status such as Idle.

  2. 2
Look at the changes setting on the AI Team panel and leave it on Ask first for this guide.

What you should see: The setting reads Ask first or Auto-apply. It is the same setting chat and Loops use. With Ask first, Avori asks before applying each change. With Auto-apply, changes apply by themselves and can be undone, and deleting files still asks.

  3. 3
In the chat message box, type @team, then the prompt above, and send it.

What you should see: Typing @ opens an AI Team list with @team and each teammate. Your message appears in the chat marked for AI Team, and Avori splits the work between teammates.

  4. 4
If a teammate or Avori asks a question, choose one of the suggested answers, or choose Something else to type your own.

What you should see: The question card names who is asking. When it says other work keeps going, the rest of the team continues while that task waits for you. The AI Team button shows how many questions are waiting.

  5. 5
Follow the AI Team progress card in the chat.

What you should see: The card shows how many tasks are done, and one row per task with the teammate's name and Up next, Working, Waiting on you, or Done. Pause and Team are on the card.

  6. 6
When a teammate asks to apply a change, read the list of files it will create, change, or delete, then choose Apply, Apply, and stop asking, or Don't apply.

What you should see: Nothing is written until you choose Apply. If the change deletes files, Apply, and stop asking is not offered, because deleting files always asks first.

  7. 7
Read each teammate's result in the chat.

What you should see: The teammate posts Done with the task name, a summary, the files it changed, and an Undo button. A task is marked Done only after Avori checks the change, using your engine when the project has one.

  8. 8
To give one teammate work directly, start a chat message with @ and their name, such as @Nova, or open that teammate in the AI Team panel and use Message Nova.

What you should see: Your message is marked for that teammate, and only that teammate replies.

  9. 9
Open a teammate in the AI Team panel to change how they work.

What you should see: How Nova works holds instructions that save as you type, plus Add reference file. You can also choose Rename or change specialty, Remove, or + Add teammate with a name and specialty.

  10. 10
Choose Pause in the AI Team panel or on the progress card, then choose Resume.

What you should see: While paused, messages you send are saved and run when you resume, in the order you sent them.

  11. 11
With Pro, choose Keep going in the cloud in the AI Team panel before you turn your computer off.

What you should see: The panel says your team is working in the cloud. When Avori is open on your computer again, it brings the team's changes onto this computer and says how many it brought back.

What Avori may change

Teammates change only the project open in Avori, and only the parts their task covers. They can create, change, or delete files and make changes in your engine's editor. With Ask first, nothing is applied until you choose Apply, and deleting files always asks. While your AI Team is working on a project, a Loop cannot start on that project.

How to verify it worked

Each finished task has a Done message from the teammate that lists the files it changed. Open those files or play the project and confirm the result. When the whole job is finished, every row on the progress card reads Done.

Undo or recover

Choose Don't apply for a change you do not want. After a change is applied, choose Undo under that teammate's Done message to put the project back the way it was before that task. You can pause the team at any time; its work and messages are saved. Keep source control for final recovery.

Common problems

  • If Avori answers in the regular chat instead of handing the work to the team, start the message with @team or a teammate's exact name, followed by what you want.
  • If the panel says Team paused: out of credits or Avori Balance, choose Add Avori Balance, then Resume. All work is saved.
  • If the panel says your AI Team stopped and needs you, choose Resume.
  • If a Loop will not start because your AI Team is working on the project, pause the team or wait for it to finish.
  • If a teammate cannot be removed, it still has unfinished work. Pause the team or let that work finish first.
  • If you changed the same files on your computer while the team worked in the cloud, Avori keeps your version, saves the cloud version, and the teammate asks whether to redo the work on top of yours, use theirs, or merge both.
